The WHYFOR Team

CHRIS NORWOOD // Principal
Beneath the outgoing and fun-loving exterior, a surprisingly logical and methodical view of the world helps Chris get to heart of WHYFOR clients' communications and marketing problems. Having been around the block a few times, he sees things a little differently than most and can cut through a lot of the BS that can bog down a project or a campaign.

With almost a dozen years of experience at the helm of several design and marketing studios, his resume includes a diverse mix of clients from community foundations to Fortune 100s. And while not a designer, his ability to walk the line between strategy and creativity helps our clients understand the process and more importantly helps our creative team understand the needs of our clients.

Prior to opting for the desert in 2006, Chris founded and operated Dragonfly Communications, a marketing and graphic design studio in Washington, DC for 10 years. Before that, he worked for several DC-based advertising and public relations firms. Chris graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Creative Writing.
ROB NICOLETTI // Principal & Creative Director
Named one of the "Top 100 Designers Under 30" by HOW Magazine, Rob Nicoletti, brings technical insight and skill to his passion for design and visual communication. As a Principal and Creative Director, Rob is responsible for the visual look and feel of all of WHYFOR's creative efforts. A strong believer in our mantra, Design with Purpose, Rob's designs are always as compelling and functional as they are beautiful.

Prior to founding WHYFOR, Rob was the Art Director for Boelts-Stratford, a Tucson-based design studio where he accumulated 20 Addy™ awards for creative excellence. Prior to that, Rob worked in New York for Curran & Connors, Inc., the nation's largest firm specializing in the design and production of annual reports, corporate literature and new media.

Active in the design community, Rob is on the Board of Ad2 and an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. He received his bachelor's degree in fine arts with an emphasis in visual communications from the University of Arizona.
